Mumbai : IT services firm Infosys extended its partnership with Udacity, a global online education company, for the second consecutive year, it said in a regulatory filing on Friday.

The Bangalore-based company said the partnership is aimed at accelerating the pace of skill adoption in new technologies and industry skills in the new batch of trainees at Infosys.

The programme offers a nano degree programme online that enables the learner to develop unique, in-demand skills through project-based and real-world scenarios, it said.

IT companies in India are spending money on in the development of training programmes as robotics, machine learning and artificial intelligence become a part of the business model.

“We are consistently investing in bringing a culture of lifelong learning early, especially for our young engineers. Through our partnership with Udacity, we are now able to complement this learning, and build a strong foundation with specialized skills training and I look forward to scaling this partnership further,” said Navin Budhiraja, chief technology officer at Infosys.
