Indiaskills Competitors 2026 “Skill Goonjega, Desh Sunega” — echoing this powerful theme, the IndiaSkills 2025–26 National Competition has entered its third day at the India Expo Centre & Mart.

The event has brought together some of the country’s most talented youth, showcasing excellence in skill-based disciplines aligned with national and global industry standards.

 

The competition features over 650 skilled participants from across India, competing in 63 skill categories spanning key sectors such as:

  • Manufacturing & Engineering
  • Information Technology
  • Construction & Infrastructure
  • Creative Arts & Design
  • Hospitality & Services

These participants have qualified through a rigorous multi-level selection process, including district, state, and regional competitions.

Voices from Leadership

The competition is being organized under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), with support from the National Skill Development Corporation, highlighting the government’s strong focus on building a future-ready workforce.

Debashree Mukherjee, Secretary, MSDEAddressing the gathering, Debashree Mukherjee, Secretary, MSDE, emphasized the importance of skills in today’s evolving world. She noted that while education provides knowledge, it is skills that give that knowledge real meaning and application. She further highlighted that India’s growing focus on skill development reflects its ambition to build one of the most skilled and capable workforces globally.

,highlighMr. Prashant Sinha, CEO, NSDCted the growing scale and significance of IndiaSkills. He emphasized that the competition reflects the rising importance of skills in India’s future, bringing together talent, industry, and training ecosystems on one national platform.

Further, Arunkumar Pillai, CEO of the National Skill Development Corporation, highlighted the importance of industry-aligned training and collaboration. He noted that IndiaSkills brings together training institutions and industry, creating a strong ecosystem that prepares youth with practical, job-ready skills.

 

Massive Participation Nationwide

The IndiaSkills 2025–26 cycle has witnessed over 3.65 lakh registrations across India, reflecting a growing shift toward skill-based education and career pathways.

From this vast pool, only the best candidates have reached the national stage, making the competition highly competitive and prestigious.

Strengthening India’s Skill Ecosystem
Organized under the Skill India Mission and supported by the National Skill Development Corporation, the competition aims to:

  • Identify and nurture young skilled talent
  • Promote vocational and technical education
  • Align workforce capabilities with industry demands
  • Build a future-ready workforce

Gateway to Global Stage
Top-performing participants from the national competition will undergo further training and selection to represent India at the prestigious WorldSkills Competition in Shanghai.
